Competing in goodness According to Islam

 

Competition is human activity to achieve the goal of overcoming another person or group. There is a good competition, there is also bad, how the competition in its favor according to Islam? Life is a competition. Not just to be the best, but also compete to achieve the desired goals. Unfortunately, many people trapped in the real competition, which is only indulging in lust and carnal lust away from Robbani atmosphere. 

Allah SWT. has given clear guidance, as His word in the Qur'an, which means:
"And We have sent down the Book (Qur'an) to you (Muhammad) with the truth, confirming the scriptures revealed before and keep then decide their cases according to what Allah has revealed and do thou follow their desires to leave the truth that has come to you. For each community among you, We have given the rules and the way the light. If Allah willed, you made ​​him one race (course), but Allah wanted to test you for the gift that has been given you, then berlomba- lombalah do good. Only God you all back and then told him to you for what ye differed. "(Surah al-Maidah / 5: 48).

Allah SWT. explained that each of the given rule or law. For each of the Shari'a vary according to the time and circumstances of his life. Although they are different, in principle, is all worship in order to seek the pleasure of Allah., Or competing in goodness.

The end of this verse also says that the difference is like the difference Shari'a human in its creation, tribes and nation-states. All the difference is the grace to know each other and for the event. This verse also encourage the development of a wide range of human capabilities, rather than become an arena of debate. All people with potential and ability levels respectively, to compete and compete in carrying out the goodness. Allah SWT. always see and monitor the actions of man and for him nothing is hidden.

There are several reasons why we are commanded to compete in goodness, are as follows:

1.      That do good should not be delayed, but should be done. Because the chance of survival is very limited, so is the opportunity to do good is not necessarily every time we dapatkan.Kematian can come suddenly without any known cause. Therefore, so there is an opportunity to do good, let us not delay it anymore, but we should be doing.

2.      That should motivate each other and help one another to do good, this is where the need for collaboration or cooperation. Signs of a good environment is an environment that makes us motivated to do good. Not a bit of a formerly well be damaged by the environment. An environment of mutual support will create the habit of doing a favor either istiqamah (consistent).

3.       B ahwa alacrity to do good must be supported with seriousness. Allah SWT. said in the Qur'an, which means:              
"... And please-menolonglah you in (doing) goodness and piety, and do mutual assistance in sin and hostility ..."  (Surah al-Maidah / 5: 2 ).
